Keep every cylinder working
GM's Active Fuel Management deactivates half the cylinders under light load to save a little fuel. Many owners of 5.3L and 6.2L engines report that the constant switching contributes to collapsed lifters, misfires, oil consumption, shudder and hesitation — and lifter repairs can cost thousands of dollars.
The disabler keeps the engine in full-cylinder mode for smoother throttle response, steady power when towing and a consistent V8 sound, while leaving the factory ECU untouched.

Frequently asked questions
What does an AFM/DFM disabler do?
GM's Active Fuel Management (AFM) and Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) shut off cylinders under light load to save fuel. The disabler plugs into the OBD-II port and keeps the engine in full-cylinder mode (V8 stays V8, V6 stays V6), so you avoid the constant switching many owners link to lifter wear, oil consumption, shudder and hesitation.
Do I need to reprogram or tune the ECU?
No. There is no tuning, no software and no tools. Plug it in, wait for the indicator light, and drive. Unplug it and the vehicle returns to factory behavior.
Will it drain my battery?
The 2026 edition uses smart power management and goes to sleep when the engine is off, so it can stay plugged in. The previous Auto Start/Stop setting is also remembered.
Which vehicles does it fit?
Most GM trucks, SUVs and cars with V6 / V8 engines equipped with AFM or DFM from roughly 2005 to 2024 — Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade, Camaro, Colorado, Canyon and more. See the full compatibility list, or send us your VIN to confirm.
Is it the same as an AFM delete kit?
No. A delete kit replaces lifters, the camshaft and valley plate and requires an ECU re-flash — a major, permanent engine job. The disabler is a plug-in electronic solution that leaves the engine untouched and is fully reversible.
What is the MOQ for wholesale and private label?
Samples and small trial orders are welcome for neutral packaging. Custom logo, color and packaging start from 1,000 pcs. Contact us with your quantity for tiered pricing.
Is it legal to use?
Rules on modifying emission-related systems differ by country and state. The disabler does not alter ECU software, but resellers and end users are responsible for checking compliance with local regulations in their market.
